The Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park opened in 1996 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Tennessee's statehood. I've never been there, although I have been by it many times, so I decided to resolve that today. The park resides on 19 acres located near the Tennessee State Capitol in downtown Nashville. It is a beautiful refuge surrounded by the clutter of the city of Nashville. Consisting of walkways and commemorative walkways it serves as a reminder of Tennessee's history to all who visit. |
