I've been building models off and on since about 1960. After a long stretch away from building I
started again in early 2004 and have really enjoyed myself. I don't claim to be an expert by any
stretch of the imagination and build primarily for my own enjoyment. Some of these models have
been in a couple of shows though, and they were able to hold their own.
Over the years I have built models of various subjects, including cars, ships, and other types of
aircraft. These days I build primarily fighter aircraft from WW-II, Korea, and Viet Nam but
that, of course, is subject to change at any time. These are the models that I have built, or
in some cases started and not completed, in the past couple of years.

This is the first model I built for about 15 years and it shows it!
The construction is OK but there are some problems in the paint and not a lot of detail. |

This was my first Trumpeter build and all in all it went together
quite well. It could use some additional weathering and paint detail, but it worked out pretty
decently. |

This is Trumpeter's large F-105G Thunderchief (two-seat "Wild Weasel") and
it turned out quite well. The construction is tedious because of the quantity of parts and the
level of detail, but all it requires is patience. |

For 40 years the F-4 has been my favorite jet fighter. This
Tamiya kit is the latest of a long line of Phantoms that I've built over the years. I really wish
I had kept all the others I have built. |

The A-10 is a unique aircraft and this one is an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran. A difficult model to build but it finally came together and looks pretty decent. |

I built the 2-seat "G" version last year, and this is the single-seat "D". It
is being built for a friend who flew one in VietNam and is being built as the aircraft that he flew. |

I have wanted to build an F-15 in Israeli Air Force camouflage colors for a long time, and this is my chance! The F-15I Ra'am (Thunder) is very similar to the US F-15E Strike Eagle, and this model will use the Tamiya F-15E as a base. |

This model is currently on hold. The actual construction is about
80% done but I made some mistakes on the paint and haven't gotten around to fixing them. It's a good
model and I'll get around to finishing it one of these days. |

I haven't done much on this one yet. I started working on it
and then went back to try and finish my A-10. It is one of the models that I'm still working on
though, and it will get built. |

I was at Hobby Lobby and happened to notice this one. I felt
it would be a nice change of pace to build a car again so it's on the bench. I don't have a page
set up for it yet but will get one put together as the model progresses. |

MODELS I'D LIKE TO BUILD ...
This could turn into a never-ending list, but these are the ones
that I keep thinking about.

More Teeth! -- I've always been fascinated by aircraft with shark's mouth markings. I have recently
started building models of them, and the P-40, F-105,
F-4, and A-10 shown above all have these types of markings.
There are several more models around with teeth on them, and aftermarket decals for several others. I'll just
have to hunt them down and see what I can do about building them all. If you know of any good ones, drop me

Lockheed P-38 Lightning -- The P-38 in This Image is
pretty much what I'd like to do. I've always thought the P-38 is a great airplane, and they only look right to
me in natural metal finish.

North American P-51 Mustang -- The Mustang has been my favorite for as long as I can remember.
Maybe a toss-up between it and the Phantom, but those two are of different vintages. I built many models of
the Mustang as a kid, but haven't built one in a long time. Perhaps it's getting close to time for another one!

McDonnell-Douglas A-4 Skyhawk -- Not sure what it is about the Scooter, but it has a unique quality
that has always intrigued me. Perhaps it's the arrogant stance it takes on that spindly looking nose gear,
or perhaps it's the thought of a bantam weight fighter in the heavy weight field of Viet Nam. Regardless,
it's a Very Cool Airplane and I'd like to build it one day.
